  1. This species has lovely long silken hairs which cover the whole plant. For some reason I have had more success growing this species than Pulsatilla vulgaris.! Worth trying as they are a splendid addition to the spring garden.

  2. The whole plant is covered in these lovely silken hairs and the flowers have this stunning bright yellow central boss of stamens. I struggled to grow our native pasqueflower, but this alpine species (grown from seed) has done really well in the garden.
